Recent Significant Accomplishments
The Community Health Worker Training Project (CHWTP) staff continues to supply resources to Northern Gulf Coast community residents, make research presentations at community-driven meetings, and to write manuscripts for academic journals.
CHWTP staff attended the Boat People SOS 4th Annual Spring into Health Wellness Fair in Bayou La Batre, AL, April 1, 2017.
CHWTP staff delivered a presentation entitled, "Community Health Workers: Lessons from the Field" at the GoMRI Research Board In-Person Team Meeting, held in New Orleans, LA, on May 10, 2017.
CHWTP's manuscript, "Training Community Health Workers to Enhance Disaster Resilience,manuscript", was accepted on May 30, 2017, for publication in the GRHOP Special Issue, supported by the Journal of Public Health Management & Practice.
